Deckhand

Essential Job Functions

• Greet passengers and collect payment.
• Verify reservations.
• Sweep and wash decks along with other areas of the boat and dock.
• Perform routine cleaning and painting about the vessel.
• Pickup and dispose of trash on vessel and loading/unloading areas.
• Adhere to safety standards and address potential safety hazards.
• Observe passengers to ensure safe behaviors; ensure safe loading and departure from ferry.
• Participate in training sessions and drills.

Other Job Functions

• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Experience Required: General maintenance skills.
• Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Ability to follow orders; ability to communicate effectively with others and understand/comply with departmental, company, and government agency regulations.
• Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
• Other Specialized Requirements: This position will not perform or assist with any gaming function or access the casino vessel.
