Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures proper coverage of material by following procedures.
- Monitors electrical controls and dip tanks for proper settings and conditions.
- Adds acids and ensures correct chemical concentrations in dip tanks.
- Adds nickel and steel chips to dip tanks as needed.
- Performs visual checks and adjustments to ensure proper coating.
- Cleans filters once a week.
- Makes sure mechanical components of the plater assembly line are functioning properly.
- Monitors for signs of malfunction, such as burning or short circuits.
- Finds and removes fallen parts from the line.
- Inspects parts for quality and readiness for shipment.
- Completes Statistical Process Control Charts (SPC) as required.
- Maintains inventory of chemicals and provides lists as needed.
- Shuts down the plater line at the end of the work week.
- Cleans various tanks at the end of the work week.
- Performs minor repairs of equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
Special Job Consideration
- Color blindness may cause possible problems.
- Must be able to differentiate changes in color after testing water.
- Cannot have respiratory issues like asthma, emphysema, or pulmonary restrictions.
- Must be clean-shaven at all times.
