About The Role
Provide direct interaction with all team members involved in Decanting, Restock, Case Picking, Shortages, and internal product transfers. The Decant and Restock Supervisor is responsible for coaching employees by establishing suitable goals and action plans. The supervisor delegates and provides ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they complete their action plans. Responsible to ensure that employees follow the organization's policies and procedures. The Decant and Restock Supervisor and all Activewear employees must adhere and enforce the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.
Responsibilities
- Monitors decant and restock progress throughout the shift to ensure daily goals are achieved.
- Ensure all associates are trained and following all standard operating procedures.
- Ensures all workflow is continuous throughout the shift.
- Track and present individual performance daily, weekly, and monthly to each associate.
- Audit and coach associates on the decant and restock processes.
- Process internal product transfers in a timely manner en route to other DCs within the S&S network.
- Provide support and guidance in the shortage process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the decant, restock, and pop pick induction stations.
- Responsible for the progressive disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation.
- Handle general employee inquiries and solve problems in a timely manner.
- Hold employee kick-off meetings daily.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Ensures working safely is always a priority.
- Partner with HR to ensure the accurate recording of all employee time punches, submitting time off requests as required.
- Provide effective, constructive, and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to foster a positive team atmosphere.
- Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment).
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
- Good interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a departmentally related field.
Physical Demands
In performing the job of the Decant and Restock Supervisor, one must spend part of the day working on a computer but also walking around the warehouse will also be required. Additionally, the position requires driving a stock chaser to move through the warehouse. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, and hearing are required.
Working Environment
The job will be performed entirely in the S&S Activewear warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed in a work area provided in the warehouse. Will work around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the manager's job.
Pay
Salaried: $54,000 - $64,000 (based on experience)
Schedule
Monday - Friday (4:30am - 2pm)
