About the role
This is a 2nd shift position.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and train a team, providing professional development through ongoing coaching.
- Promote safety throughout the work area and with your team.
- Ensure proper scheduling to run the production area.
- Motivate, train, and help the team optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and established food safety programs.
- Optimize employee engagement through positive leadership.
- Perform all other relevant duties related to the job of a supervisor.
Requirements
- 2+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Business Management, or other related field of study preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in technology, computer, mathematical, and analytical skills.
- General knowledge of plant operations, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO₂, and moving production lines.
- Exposure to damp, wet, and cold environments.
- Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
