About the role
Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a Dean of Students to join our leadership team in Plymouth, New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment while mentoring staff, supporting student achievement, and driving continuous program improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily academic and school operations to ensure a structured learning environment
- Foster a positive school culture focused on student growth, safety, and success
- Coordinate school routines, schedules, and student transitions
- Train and support staff through ARC and TCI programming and professional development initiatives
- Supervise, coach, and mentor academic staff through regular performance and development meetings
- Manage critical incidents, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic goals and school improvement efforts
- Build positive relationships with students, families, community partners, and stakeholders
- Support school events, meetings, and experiential learning opportunities
- Ensure facilities remain safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Services, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education or human services
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Special Education services and academic systems
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and support both students and staff
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to meet safe driver guidelines
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Qualifications
Preferred: Master's Degree in Education, Administration, Human Services, or related field
