About the role

Mount Prospect Academy is seeking a Dean of Students to join our leadership team in Plymouth, New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment while mentoring staff, supporting student achievement, and driving continuous program improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily academic and school operations to ensure a structured learning environment
  • Foster a positive school culture focused on student growth, safety, and success
  • Coordinate school routines, schedules, and student transitions
  • Train and support staff through ARC and TCI programming and professional development initiatives
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor academic staff through regular performance and development meetings
  • Manage critical incidents, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic goals and school improvement efforts
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Support school events, meetings, and experiential learning opportunities
  • Ensure facilities remain safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Services, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education or human services
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Special Education services and academic systems
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and support both students and staff
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to meet safe driver guidelines
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Qualifications

Preferred: Master's Degree in Education, Administration, Human Services, or related field
