Dean's Office Specialist, Administrative Analyst/Specialist, Non-Exempt
About the role

Responsibilities
- Supports the Dean, the Director, and departments within the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts.
- Handles administrative, technical, and analytical duties.
- Serves as a main resource for the Dean, the Director, faculty, staff, students, and the community.
- Makes decisions, interprets and applies policies and procedures, prepares and analyzes various reports, provides support documentation, and offers general office assistance.
- Manages multiple work priorities and is accountable for own work results.
- Interacts with all levels inside and outside the university, including dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
- Three years of experience in office administration preferred.
- Working knowledge of social media communications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including use of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation required.
- Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required.
- Knowledge of Google Suite, Qualtrics, Drupal, desktop publishing, and PeopleSoft preferred.

Benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period. The CSU Classification Step Range for this position is $4,799 - $6,992 per month (step 1 - step 20). Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 1 ($4,799 a month).
The position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year.
