Dean of Nursing

About the role

The Dean of Nursing is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the Nursing Programs (all levels) in U.S. Operations. The role involves ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and program outcomes that align with institutional and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Directors of Nursing at both campuses, ensuring consistency in program delivery, student support, and faculty development.
• Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Vice President of Nursing to advance the nursing programs and ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students.

Requirements

• Education: Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, DNP) or related field from an accredited institution. A master’s degree in Nursing is acceptable with significant experience.
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in nursing education, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role. Experience overseeing multiple nursing programs or campuses is strongly preferred.
• Experience in program accreditation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• A track record of improving program outcomes, including NCLEX pass rates and student retention.

• Program Development and Assessment: Demonstrates expertise in curriculum design, program assessment, and quality improvement processes to enhance nursing program outcomes.
• Student-Centered Approach: Committed to student success and retention, with the ability to design and implement interventions that support academic and personal growth.
• Problem Solving: Capable of identifying complex challenges and developing innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
• Compliance and Accreditation Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accreditation standards, state regulations, and licensure requirements for nursing education.
• Budget and Resource Management: Experience managing program budgets and ensuring the effective allocation of resources to support student and faculty needs.
• Adaptability and Innovation: Open to change and able to adapt to new trends in nursing education and healthcare.
