Dealer Performance Manager
This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren Technical Center (WTC) three times per week, or as dictated by business needs. Regular travel (25-50%) is required. This role is not eligible for relocation benefits; any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
About the role
The Dealer Performance Manager serves as a key contributor to the operational success of the GM Community Dealer Development team.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and monitors robust strategies to recruit and develop GM’s future dealer operators
- Collaborates with the regional network teams to develop and grow the network of fully vetted dealer candidates
- Facilitates the quarterly Dealer Candidate Expertise Assessment and quarterly National Candidate Pool Selection Panel Interview processes
- Executes the LINEAGE program for dealership successors
- Maintains a high level of collaboration with the field network teams to match potential candidates with potential opportunities
- Provides candidate status updates to the Advisory Councils
- Develops an efficient annual process of “recertification” of candidates in the National Candidate Pool
- Proposes and develops IT solutions and improvements to support and ensure the network field teams have easier and efficient access to candidate data
- Coordinates monthly progress updates to the regional teams and the Dealer Development Director
- Leads, implements, and monitors robust and collaborative strategies to proactively identify, manage, and reduce the operational losses for at-risk dealers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related areas
- 3-5+ years of experience in field, sales, marketing, or a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment (Dealer Network experience preferred)
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizing and planning skills; project management experience is a plus
- Ability to independently handle and resolve conflicting priorities
- Strategic and creative thinking abilities

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with Senior Leadership, Divisions, Regional Teams, and external vendors

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, especially the ability to synthesize large amounts of data involving multiple variables into comprehensive, yet concise, actionable insights
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deliverables and deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present confidently to senior leadership and dealer councils
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
