We are hiring for: Deaf/Hard of Hearing Residental Care Coordinator

About the role

RHA Health Services is seeking a positive and personable individual to join our team. The Resident Care Coordinator will coordinate client care, assist individuals with deaf/hard of hearing and additional disabilities, and develop individual program plans.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule medical, psychiatric, and dental/vision appointments
  • Communicate and liaise with physicians, nurses, and other relevant professionals regarding the medical needs of the resident
  • Document all physical, health care, dental, vision appointments
  • Prepare and complete all necessary documentation in accordance with program standards within required time frames
  • Perform Direct Support Services when needed
  • Travel between sites on a regular basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Service Field preferred
  • At least 2 years working in a residential setting required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
