DD Training Specialist

About the role

Under the direction of the Director of Training, DD Services, the DD Training Specialist is responsible for designing, scheduling, and delivering high-quality, compliant training to Heartshare's DD Division employees. This includes Pre-Service Orientation, SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention), CPR/First Aid, Autism Overview, and a range of onsite and online courses such as Pre-Service Contingency and Infection Control. The DD Training Specialist ensures that all training is delivered in accordance with OPWDD, state, and federal regulations, and that employee training records are accurate, current, and audit-ready at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver New Employee Pre-Service Orientation and Pre-Service Contingency training to all incoming DD Division staff prior to or upon hire, in accordance with OPWDD requirements.
• Deliver SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) certification and recertification training to employees, including physical intervention techniques, and maintain SCIP trainer certification.
