About the role
The DCS Stabilization Specialist assists foster care families and qualified residential treatment program (QRTP) to reduce the number of crises that may jeopardize a child's placement. The ideal candidate will be innovative and enjoy high-level interaction with others.
Responsibilities
- Complete weekly planned interventions
- Attend CFT’s as scheduled
- Respond to crisis calls aimed to support individuals in DCS custody at risk of disruption
- Support their families and caregivers
- Develop individual service plans, emergency contact sheets, and at-risk crisis plans
- Utilize person-centered planning, positive behavior support, and Love and Logic parenting techniques
- Complete written assessments and document all coordination of care services
- Contact the placement within 24 hours of receiving a new referral and the DCS Case Manager within 48 hours
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders including families, DCS, RBHA, QSPs, and others
- Work collaboratively with Child and Family Team to develop crisis prevention plans
- Provide support, education, and recommendations to foster care families and QRTPs
Requirements
- Dual certification in DCS preferred
- GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience
- Bilingual in Spanish (Additional Language Differential Available)

Pay
Competitive salary based on experience
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours), North Phoenix Welcome Center at 25th Ave and Dunlap, and West Valley Community Hours can vary - Monday - Friday 10am - 6:30pm, Workday is scheduled around school hours, afterschool programs, with one weekend day and evening shift required.
