Pay

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this hourly position is $30.00/hr up to $49.90/hr.

Schedule

Shift Hours: Sunday: 7:00pm - 5:30am and Monday to Wednesday: 9:00pm - 7:30am

Responsibilities

• Be the primary responder (24x7) for all complex system issues involving automated material handling sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, Software)
• Maintain material handling equipment including AS/RS, cross belt sorters, conveyors, auto document insertion equipment, automated packing and lidding machines, carton erectors, print and apply
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades along with modifications/repairs to DC assets
• Troubleshoot/diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components of automated material handling systems and building components, including: PLCs, DC drives, AC inverters, linear motors, print and apply, VDFs, encoders, scanners, and power distribution
• Work with communication systems (CAN, ASi, Profi, ethernet)
• Collaborate in teams, both internal and external, to resolve problems by proposing unique solutions
• Available for 24-hour on-call rotation
• Perform audits and quality checks on Powered Industrial Equipment, automated material handling systems, and building assets
• Provide diagnosis analyses on different building equipment, MHE, and PIE
• Troubleshoot and report on material handling system performance (e.g., charts, graphs, data)
• Design, implement, and document PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley) programming changes to automated equipment when authorized
• Understand power distribution, power generation, and control circuits
• Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks such as ProfiBus, ASiBus, Data Highway, and CanBus
• Use thermal imaging equipment to detect early failure(s) of both mechanical and electrical equipment
• Work with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Technical degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of building and equipment maintenance experience with two years maintaining automated material handling systems
• Complete technical training in electronic controls, power distribution, and PLC troubleshooting
• Experienced using electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, gauges
• Experienced with reading and interpreting MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) drawings and schematics
• High level of understanding of codes such as the NEC, BOCA, UBC, MSDS, and OSHA
• Technical skills to become subject matter expert for automated material handling systems
