About the role
The Willis Knighton Department of Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Automation Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Practice under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacists and other technicians in processing medication orders for all patients of the hospital.
- Great attention to detail is required.
Requirements
- Possess a current Louisiana Board of Pharmacy certificate to practice in the state of LA or a current work certificate to practice as a technician candidate by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
- Prior hospital experience is preferred.
- Complete Willis Knighton Health internal didactic technician program approved by the LA Board of Pharmacy.
- Participate in a hospital-wide orientation program.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and skill applicable to clerical duties, including typing and computer familiarity.
