About the Role
Second shift Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and ensures shift key performance indicators (KPI) are met to ensure required levels of safety, culture, operational efficiencies, and organizational objectives.
- Identifies and implements actions to improve distribution center (DC) safety, engagement, productivity, and reduce overall expense.
- Leads 3–5 Supervisors, as well as 100–150 Team Members/temp workers.
- Responsible for implementation of all company policies, procedures, and Team Member safety.
- Optimizes staffing by area to maximize efficiency and reduce cost.
- Identifies priority of trailer unloads to maximize efficiency and ensure detention fees are not incurred.
- Oversees DC trailer yard to ensure it remains fluid.
- Leads, coaches, trains, and develops all distribution employees by providing real-time feedback and creating development plans.
- Supports a team-oriented environment with Supervisors and Team Members that fosters engagement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in distribution leadership in a supervisory position.
- College degree preferred.
- Strong background in supply chain systems (i.e., WMS, MHS, YMS).
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop others.
- Good reasoning, conflict-management, employee relations, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, as business requires.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds required.
