About the role

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team. We operate in a fast-paced, energetic environment where good vibes and great careers are a way of life.

Responsibilities

• Help customers enjoy lunch by providing fast, friendly, and efficient service
• Prepare and deliver quality and consistent products every time
• Clean and maintain a clean and inviting environment
• Manage potential allergens and work in a bustling kitchen environment
• Handle customer complaints and issues effectively
• Operate cash register and handle cash handling procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• A friendly, customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment (knife skills are a big plus)
• Ability to manage potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
• Team player
• Able to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours or as needed
• Able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Qualifications

• Illinois Applicants: Must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment

Schedule

Available for morning and day shifts ranging from 8am-4pm. Join our team to help open the shop, prep food, and serve customers, plus start the energy & good vibes early!
