About the role

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team. Our shops are known for their toasty sandwiches and positive work culture.

Responsibilities

• Help customers enjoy lunch by providing fast, friendly, and efficient service
• Prepare and deliver quality sandwiches, salads, soups, and other menu items
• Manage allergens and maintain a clean, inviting environment
• Operate cash registers and handle customer complaints
• Perform various tasks at different stations as directed
• Restock food lines, prepare meals, and clean work areas
• Handle deliveries, pick-ups, and catering orders

Requirements

• At least 16 years old
• Customer-focused with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Qualifications

• Food safety certification required for Illinois applicants within 30 days of employment
