About the role
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is hiring energetic individuals to run their daytime programs at preschools and childcare centers. This is a part-time role suitable for active retirees, second-shift workers, or former educators with open mornings.
Responsibilities
- Travel to local daycares, preschools, and parks to lead groups of 5-12 children.
- Run pre-planned, 30-35 minute curriculum-based sessions (all lesson plans and equipment provided).
- Create a safe, engaging, and ridiculously fun environment for the kids.
- Communicate professionally and warmly with parents and childcare center staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children ages 2-8 (parenting, babysitting, teaching, camp counseling, etc.) is a plus.
- You must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Commit to at least two seasons (approx. 9-week seasons) after training.
- Pass all required background checks.
Qualifications
- No advanced soccer experience is required—we teach you everything you need to know.
- You will be a role model and educator for children ages 2 to 8.
- You will act silly, sing songs, pretend to be a sleeping bear, give out high-fives, and manage the occasional toddler meltdown with patience and a smile.
- You will not be running complex drills, blowing whistles at teenagers, or worrying about a scoreboard.
