Days (Schenectady) – Personal Care Aide (PCA) Jobs

Job Opening

CareGivers in Schenectady NY is looking for a Personal Care Aide who is certified PCA, HHA, CNA, or has at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years.

About the Role

CareGivers is a licensed home care agency with 12 branches in Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania. We provide quality, compassionate home care and are always looking for positive and skilled professionals to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients
• Prepare meals and help maintain a clean living environment
• Tidying up clients' homes to keep them healthy
• Ensure clients follow their medication schedules
• Other care as needed to keep clients safe

Requirements

• Must be certified PCA, HHA, or CNA
• Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Must be 18 or older
• Must meet health requirements
• If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
• Ability to lift and move clients as needed

Pay

Schedule

• Day Shifts
• Travel time between clients is paid
• May see 2-3 clients per shift depending on shift length
• Weekday shifts
