About the role

CareGivers is a licensed home care agency with 12 branches in Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania. We provide quality, compassionate home care services and are currently seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Home Health Aid (HHA) who can offer flexible scheduling and support to clients in Irondequoit, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients, ensuring they feel clean and refreshed
  • Help prepare meals and maintain a clean living environment
  • Ensure clients follow their medication schedules
  • Assist with daily activities as needed
  • May assist with transitioning from CNA to HHA with a free one-day class
  • May assist qualified nursing students as HHA’s
  • Drive clients to medical appointments and run errands (with a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license)

Requirements

  • Must be certified PCA, HHA, or CNA
  • If you have at least 3 months of previous hands-on caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Must be caring, dependable, and meet health requirements
  • Must be 18 or older

Schedule

Flexible scheduling is offered to accommodate the needs of both the employee and the client.

Pay

The hourly rate is $18.65.
