About The Role
As a CBRE Day porter, you will perform basic maintenance tasks. This includes housekeeping, occupancy, and custodial duties. This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain cleanliness of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and shared areas.
- Perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials.
- Organize inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are stocked.
- Respond to employee desk and office lockouts and manage replacement keys.
- Follow government and company regulations related to building operations and work safety.
- Complete general labor work as assigned, including office furniture repairs, replacing ceiling and carpet tile, and ad hoc requests.
- Aid internal employees with office space relocation by delivering and collecting packing supplies.
- Assist maintenance staff, engineers, and company vendors with special projects as needed.
- Review work upon completion of a project to ensure all deliverables are achieved.
- Answer common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
What You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
- Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting or carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
