Day Driver

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand and safely operate a tractor trailer.
• Transport goods from origin to destination.
• Pick up and organize goods in an orderly manner.
• Secure contents to prevent damage during transport.
• Handle and unload goods at designated locations.
• Confirm signatures for completed deliveries.
• Stay on a predetermined route and meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed.
• Inspect vehicle before and after each trip.
• Report any maintenance or delivery issues promptly.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Comply with traffic laws and safety guidelines.
• Pass DOT regulations and maintain a clean driving record.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Class A driver's license.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no more than 1 moving violation.
• Pass background check and DOT drug and alcohol test.
• Skilled in driving large vehicles.
• Detail-oriented and alert while operating a vehicle.
• Proficient in using GPS and E-log systems.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.

Pay Information

Annual salary range: $60,000 - $62,500
