About the role
The Day Trade Teacher, Aeronautics/Aviation position at Golightly Career/Tech Center is seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of four (4) years or (8000 hours) work experience and extensive knowledge of the Aviation/Aeronautics industry. The ideal candidate must also be able to verify a minimum of four (4) years of recent and relevant occupational experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement competency-based curriculum and lesson plans.
- Prepare and maintain accurate student paperwork.
- Develop and deliver ground-school classes covering operation procedures and trade systems.
- Determine student proficiency and report progress.
- Design and utilize training manuals, equipment, and other materials for practical training.
- Organize and conduct cockpit familiarization classes.
- Maintain student progress records and provide coaching and counseling.
- Develop innovative training techniques and materials.
- Provide expertise to instructional system designers.
Requirements
- A valid Vocational Teaching Certificate, Interim Occupation Education Certificate, Full Vocational Authorization, or Occupation Education Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for vocational curriculum area.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be student-focused and foster a positive learning environment. They should also be able to develop and implement effective teaching methods and provide practical training relevant to the aviation/aeronautics field.
Skills
Desired skills include competency-based curriculum development experience, ability to design and utilize training aids, and knowledge of aviation/aeronautics operations.
Benefits
Eligible for benefits including salary schedule #1 ($55,000-$94,000) or schedule #2 ($38,500-$73,083), depending on experience and qualifications. Telecommuting is not available.
