About the role
We’re hiring a Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting to live a more independent life. As a Direct Care Worker, you’ll support individuals with social, emotional, and environmental support to help them achieve greater independence. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to ensuring that individuals are supported in a respectful and dignified manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to individuals participating in the day program
- Assist in training new staff to ensure consistent service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and internal policies
- Administer medication and ensure proper documentation and tracking of all medications
- Encourage the development of life skills to promote independence
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and daily routines
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Work Location and Schedule
This is a part-time position located in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, with work settings including day programs and community locations. The salary for this position is $16.00/hr.
