Summary
Catholic Charities of Wichita is hiring Direct Support Professionals who want meaningful work supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and older adults in a warm, respectful Adult Day Services setting. If you’re caring, dependable, and want a job with purpose—we will train you.
Daily Responsibilities
- Support adults with daily activities, independence, and self-advocacy
- Help with personal care and hygiene respectfully and with dignity
- Participate in activities, instruction, and engagement
- Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
- Monitor and document basic health information (vitals, blood glucose as needed)
- Work as part of a caring, collaborative team
Skills And Abilities
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient individuals
- Comfortable working with adults with disabilities or aging adults
- Able to perform moderately physical tasks
- Willing to learn—we provide training
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
- CNA or CMA preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months (if hired as a driver)
