About The Role

We’re hiring a Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting to live a more independent life. As a Direct Care Worker, you’ll support individuals with social, emotional, and environmental support to help them achieve greater independence. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to ensuring that individuals are supported in a respectful and dignified manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to individuals participating in the day program
  • Aid in training new staff to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and internal policies
  • Administer medication and ensure proper documentation and tracking of all medications
  • Encourage the development of life skills to promote independence
  • Support individuals in participating in community activities and daily routines

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
