About the role
Day Program Support Professional at STARS provides essential services including activity facilitation, employment support, community integration, transportation, and support plan delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement life enrichment and recreational activities and programs in-center at the STARS site.
- Provide job coaching, individualized training, and modifications to participants in community-based job settings or volunteer positions.
- Support participants in accessing and engaging in community-based recreational activities, including transportation to and from community locations.
- Perform basic health, medical, and personal care procedures according to individual protocols.
- Supervise participants to ensure the safest environment possible.
- Implement Positive Support Strategies in accordance with written Support Plans and Assessments.
- Collect data and report to Designated Coordinators for annual evaluation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a Human Services-related field, or a 2-year Associate’s degree plus at least 2 years of related professional experience.
- At least 1 year of experience providing direct care to people with disabilities.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to physically perform tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Professional communication and demeanor.

Schedule and Hours
This position is full-time, requiring a commitment to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. All work is done in the field and on company premises. Remote work is not currently available.
