Day Program Supervisor (Disabilities Services) Manhattan
About the role
Under the direction of the Director, the Day Program Supervisor oversees the Adult Day Program in Manhattan. Key responsibilities include facilitating Person-Centered Planning, coordinating individualized services, supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and promoting independence and community inclusion for individuals served.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, evaluate, and develop Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), providing ongoing performance feedback and support.
- Aid in hiring and training DSPs, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper staffing coverage.
- Develop and monitor individualized habilitation plans in collaboration with the team, ensuring alignment with service goals.
- Foster relationships with family members, community partners, and professionals to build individual support networks.
- Serve as a liaison between Service Coordination and Day Habilitation services, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery.
- Maintain safety, health, and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of individuals served.
- Ensure program compliance with New York State Home and Community-Based Waiver Services regulations, as well as agency policies and philosophies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience, or Associate Degree with 3 years of experience; Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Supervisory experience REQUIRED.
- Experience working with the IDD population REQUIRED.
- Experience working in a Day Program preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in written form.
- Knowledge of Person Centered Planning.

Pay
$55,000 per year or $57,000 with a Masters degree...
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9AM - 5PM.
