Click Here to Apply DAY PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR - MUSIC EXPLORATION Reports to: Day Program Coordinator – Instruction Job Summary: The Day Program Instructor is responsible for creating an inviting, fun, challenging, and energizing atmosphere for the Day Program offered to Wings Members. Culture and Mission: Assist in enhancing the lives of adults with Developmental Disabilities Responsibilities Plan, write, and implement educational curriculum using all three modalities of learning (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic), differentiated across a wide variety of abilitiesPrepare trimester curriculum goals and objectivesCreate detailed weekly lesson plans with individualization components for varied skill levelsMonitor, track, and share program-specific data monthlyDocument Member progress on an on-going basis to make data-informed decisionsImplement appropriate behavioral interventions as necessaryHelp recruit, retain, and lead volunteers in working with Members within the Music Exploration programMonitor lunch on rotation basis as neededServe as a liaison between Wings and Member familiesDevelop new topic-specific programming offerings as neededEvaluate a dynamic situation to make quick decisions considering multiple variablesMaintain professional working relationships with staff, parents, and volunteersSupport the strategic goals of the Wings organizationEnsure implementation and follow-through on all policies and proceduresTransport members in Wings passenger vans to off-site community partners as necessaryInvite community partners to Wings for monthly on-site learning opportunitiesAll other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite Lesson planning experience preferred Organized, attention to detail, flexible and adaptable Positive attitude Contribute by leading, as well as being a team player Requirements Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as necessaryStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with and empower volunteers to increase capacityMeet physical requirements to safely perform assigned dutiesAbility to drive 15-passenger van Qualifications & Experiences Passion for Developmental Disabilities community Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred or prior experience working with the Developmental Disabilities community Benefits: Retirement Plan Match, Health Insurance, Holidays and Paid Time Off Work Location: In-person Job Type: Full-time Safety-Sensitive Position: Yes Click Here to Apply
