Essential Functions
- Build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim.
- Maintain and care for school district's grounds.
- Prune trees and trim hedges.
- Mow lawn.
- Adjust and repair equipment.
- Shovel snow from sidewalks and driveways and spread ice melt, sand, and salt to prevent slipping.
- Repair playground equipment and benches district wide.
- Assemble and deliver furniture.
- Work inside during winter doing assigned custodian jobs and maintenance projects.
- Assists with special projects.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of general or related experience preferred

- Computer literate
- Excellent written and oral communication ability
- Follows all district policies and procedures
- Works independently, displays initiative and enthusiasm for the tasks being done
- Communicates effectively with supervisor, school personnel, team members, and administrators
- Manages confidential information in a manner that respects students, families, and employees
- Learns and applies common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions
- Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables
- Current driver's license in good standing
Physical Demands
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel
- Occasionally sits, reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 40 pounds
- Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, chemicals or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Frequent exposure to noise levels in the work environment that is usually moderate
