Day CNA

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team. The right candidate will have a strong background in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Help with physical therapy exercises
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
• Plan and prepare meals

Requirements

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work weekends and holidays
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• Must be certified in the state of IL as a CNA
• Take pride in providing high-quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)

Schedule

• Full-Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, every other weekend required
• Part-Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 3 days a week, every other weekend required

Pay

• Rate of Pay: $17.22 - $19.22 per hour
• Shift Differentials: $3.65/hr for hours worked between 3 PM - 7 AM
• Weekend Premium
• Response Pay: Additional $15 for picking up a 4-hour shift within 72 hours of the shift
