Day Center CNA

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, and toileting following the care plan.
• Document care provided in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and applicable regulations; carry out, report, and document care in an effective, timely manner.
• Assist with restorative and supportive care such as ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, catheters, and oxygen; provide other aides as assigned or needed.
• Monitor participants' health status including vital signs, weights, skin condition, appetite, and changes in functional ability; report pertinent information to clinical supervisor in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in care planning for participants.
• Monitor/assist participants in a courteous manner with meals and help with feeding as necessary.
• Report any variance, accident, or unusual occurrence to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with loading and unloading of participants from vehicles and assist the transportation department with participants' take-home supplies.
• Serve as a bus attendant on company vehicles while drivers transport participants to/from center or medical appointments, supporting participants while in transit and accompanying them in and out of facilities.
• Create and participate in group and one-on-one activities in accordance with daily activity calendar when needed.
• Attend in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid state-issued Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain CPR certification from American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting for frail and elderly patients participating in a group environment.
• Bi-lingual.

Pay

$18.37 - $21.15 per hour.
