The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.

About the role

As a Research Fellow, you will be involved in conducting research, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy. You will work closely with NITI AAYOG and collaborate with other researchers and experts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy.
  • Collaborate with other researchers and experts to develop and refine models.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders from NITI AAYOG and other relevant organizations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in econometric modeling.
  • Experience working with large datasets and conducting economic research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
