DATABASE APPLICATION DEVELOPER/REPORT DESIGNER
About the role
The HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) is recruiting for one (1) Computer Associate (Software) II to function as a Database Application Developer/Report Designer.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design and enhance info-structures, implementation, and support of program specific software.
- Create reports for case management, eligibility operations, finance, personnel, housing, and contracts units connecting to database applications in Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Coordinate design, development and implementation of HASA database Applications and maintain existing Databases applications.
- Design and deploy reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Analyze and enhance existing quality assurance and other statistical and periodic reports and create new reports based on analysis and recommendations using all available resources such as Oracle, Electronic Data warehouse (EDW), in house SQL Server Applications and flat files received through file transfer protocol (sftp) from outside HASA.

Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and one year of satisfactory full-time computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data communications, mainframe development, mobile development, web development and design.
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described in "1" above.
- Education and or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
- College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in "2" above on the basis that 60 semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience.
- 24 semester credits from an accredited college or graduate school in computer science or a related field, or a certificate of at least 625 hours in computer programming from an accredited technical school (post high school), may be substituted for one year of experience.
Qualifications
- At least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full-time experience as described in "1" above.
Skills
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server database applications.
- Experience with SQL Server 2016 and above.
- Experience with tables, views, stored procedures, and SSIS packages in SQL Server 2016.
- Experience with analyzing and enhancing existing quality assurance and other statistical and periodic reports.
- Experience with creating new reports based on analysis and recommendations using all available resources.
- Experience with designing and deploying reports for case management, eligibility operations, finance, personnel, housing, and contracts units.
- Experience with coordinating design, development and implementation of HASA database Applications.
- Experience with maintaining and updating the design of all web-based E-forms.
- Experience with communicating with operational staff to know their requirements and feedback and ensuring that these are fully conveyed to programming and web development team, recommending changes to web application and database design.
- Experience with providing technical support to users and program vendors in the use of web-based application HASAWeb by resolving issues, maintaining security module, adding removing users, codes, roles and coordinating with other HASA staff and/or HRA-ITS.
- Experience with creating ad-hoc reports based on management requests using all available data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server 2016 databases, flat text files.
- Experience with coordinating the Single Room Occupancy (SRO) billing process, acting as single point source by creating necessary exception reports for contract, creating, uploading, and downloading files to and from HRA ftp servers, requesting updates to central database application.
Pay
Salary range: $87,000 - $105,000 per year.
