As a Database Developer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our SOCOM Customer. You will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining Database and Business Intelligence application platforms.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, implement, monitor, and test database backups and recovery methodologies
• Monitor and optimize production SQL Server database performance
• Ensure database security, integrity, reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery
• Identify and troubleshoot database issues; analyze, design, build, test, and implement solutions
• Manage file system space, database allocation, disk usage, and plan for capacity and scalability
• Participate in monthly patching outside core business hours
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple IT teams
• Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization skills and commitment to deadlines
• Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
