About the Role
Full Visibility is seeking a Database Administrator III with a Top Secret clearance to work onsite in Quantico, VA. The Database Administrator will maintain existing databases, monitor, and improve database performance for future expansion requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and execute plans for redundancy, disaster recovery, security, and safeguarding of databases.
- Develop interfaces between databases and applications.
- Debug issues in a production Windows desktop application environment, including query performance, timely data inserts, bulk‑loading techniques, and database recovery.
- Create and modify existing schemas to accommodate influxes of data records.
- Make long‑term recommendations and evaluate record storage options across available database systems.
- Ensure 24/7 operation of the databases.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance (position may require successful completion of a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering/Development and six (6) years of experience as a Database Administrator (or ten (10) years specialized work experience in lieu of education).
- Proficiency in day‑to‑day operation, maintenance, management, and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL or other relational databases.
- Experience with .NET (4.0 and above) C# desktop applications (WinForms or WPF).
- Proficiency in creating stored procedures, views, and CLR code, and ensuring their optimization and efficiency.
- Experience working with large‑scale databases (many billions of items) in an MS SQL or other relational database environment.
- Experience creating new schemas based on prior production database knowledge.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or the YellowBrick appliance.
