About the Role

The Database Administrator II is responsible for managing and administering corporate database platforms to ensure their reliability, availability, and scalability. This role supports critical business systems by maintaining database performance, security, and automation in collaboration with multiple technical teams. The position plays a key role in optimizing database environments and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database platforms
• Oversee backups and data archiving for SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Provide database expertise to reporting, business systems, software development, and IT functions
• Monitor job execution and server performance; troubleshoot issues
• Facilitate database access for third-party resources when needed
• Collaborate with data, security, and DevOps teams on source code, pipelines, and security practices
• Identify and implement optimization opportunities based on performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of Database Administrator experience managing backups, snapshots, and archival
• Experience managing security and environments for development, staging, and production
• Skilled in ETL tools, SSIS packages, cloud data pipelines, and SQL scripting
• Proficient with index creation, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
• Familiarity with RedGate SQL Toolbelt, SQL Clone, or equivalent tools
• Experience with BI platforms such as SSRS, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or Tableau
• Ability to author and troubleshoot SQL statements and DDL schema
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
• Experience with Amazon Web Services Relational Database Service (RDS)

Pay

$130,000.00 to $145,000.00 Annually
