About the role

Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations. Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer database management systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Implement and maintain public and private cloud management, including migration from on-prem to cloud.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to protect valuable data from unauthorized access.
  • Support end users and application developers in solving complex problems related to database systems.
  • Implement policies and procedures to safeguard data from external threats.
  • Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage to ensure scalability.
  • Coordinate systematic database project plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to improve the performance and reliability of the system.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management.
  • Experience with VMware ESXi.
  • Experience with automation, especially IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).
  • Experience with vulnerability management, including Public/private cloud management.
  • Experience with AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services) with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) , and/or Azure AD.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Automation experience, especially IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).
  • Vulnerability management experience.
  • Experience with on-prem AD FS (Active Directory Federation Services) with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) , and/or Azure AD.
