About the role
The Data Visualization Developer will work closely with Analytics and IT teams to translate complex data sets into creative, easy to understand visualizations that enhance decision-making for member hospitals, focusing on improved outcomes for children’s health.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Analytics and IT teams to translate complex data sets into creative, easy to understand visualizations.
- Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, AI tools, and other BI solutions.
- Apply best practices and continuously improve UX/UI and dashboard optimization.
- Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
- Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
- Plan and facilitate project meetings, prepare and deliver presentations, and work with cross-functional teams to meet project timeframes and quality requirements.
- Present data in an easy to consume and understandable way, understanding best delivery options based on audience.
- Analyze the requirements of the client or business and act as functional liaison between IT and business.
- Serve as high-level subject matter expert in Tableau, Business Objects and other data visualization products, resolving support tickets related to Tableau and Business Objects.
- Prepare data and perform data modeling using SQL for use by Tableau or other BI tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and internal teams to ensure the highest quality stable environment while meeting users’ expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to iterate, refine, document, and share visualizations based on feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM related fields; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3+ years Tableau development skills required with proven experience in developing and working with Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics.
- Hands-on Tableau site administrator experience including familiarity with Tableau Bridge, user group and role management, and permission configuration.
- A solid understanding of SQL, rational databases, and normalization.
- Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.

Pay
Min: $82,000
Max: $140,000
Schedule
Hybrid working model: three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
