About the role

Provide direct customer support and data quality assurance for the development and implementation of the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) and Core Collection software and data collections as required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Offer guidance and assistance to campuses and district central staff, working closely with business users to resolve ongoing functional issues, including UID and Enrollment Tracking research and reports. Mentor other personnel on problem analysis and resolution, such as resolving student duplicate ID numbers. Research and resolve complex data problems involving confidential information.

Establish quality assurance policies following best practices and benchmarks to maintain district student data on the Texas Student Data System’s (TSDS) Unique ID (UID) and Enrollment Tracking databases. Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventative solutions. Receive and process State Reporting forms and application requests. Assist with the PEIMS data review process, including assembling, receiving, and reviewing packets, and specifically address Core Collection data issues. Assist in testing and documenting new applications, features, functions, and reports.

Requirements

  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S. equivalency).
  • 2+ years of direct experience in data entry/processing in customer support or a technology field.
  • Demonstrated work experience in data processing or a related field.
  • Ability to identify and resolve task-related problems with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and standard office tools (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $48,219.00
Median Salary: $58,805.00
