About the role

The Information Technology Manager II (ITM II) oversees the operations and maintenance of legacy reporting and data systems, including MIS/DSS and T-MSIS. This position manages technical teams supporting critical data operations that ensure compliance, system availability, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of enterprise data systems, data warehouses, or reporting platforms.
  • Oversight of staff and contractors responsible for system maintenance, defect resolution, and change management.
  • Partnership with vendors and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, availability, and organizational data needs.
  • Ensure data management practices and reporting comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Build, develop, and motivate technical teams, set performance expectations, coach staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead teams through periods of change, such as system modernization, migration, or dual-operations transitions, while maintaining service continuity.

Requirements

This position is subject to the Department’s Conflict of Interest Code and requires annual filing of a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700).

Qualifications

Data Systems Operations & Vendor Management: Experience managing enterprise data systems, data warehouses, or reporting platforms, overseeing staff and contractors, partnering with vendors, and ensuring data integrity, availability, and organizational data needs.

Regulatory Compliance & Data Reporting: Experience ensuring data management practices and reporting comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, managing operational or regulatory reporting requests, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Leadership & Modernization Support: Experience leading cross-functional teams, setting performance expectations, coaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and managing projects during periods of change.

Skills

Proficiency in relational database management systems (e.g., Teradata), experience with data warehousing and ETL processes, knowledge of data modeling and architecture, excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of data privacy and protection laws and regulations, experience in implementing data governance frameworks, previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in data management or IT, ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.

$11,388.00 - $13,842.00
