About the role
Our client, a leading energy provider, is seeking a Data Support Analyst III to join their team. This individual will support enterprise data governance initiatives by maintaining governance standards, improving data quality, and driving sustainable data solutions across major projects. The analyst will collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to ensure enterprise data remains accurate, governed, secure, and accessible.
Contract Details: Contract position from August 17, 2026 – December 31, 2026, fully onsite at the Spring campus in Spring, Texas.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of enterprise data governance policies, procedures, standards, and frameworks
- Partner with IT, business operations, data owners, and governance leadership to define and enforce data governance expectations
- Maintain metadata, business definitions, data lineage, stewardship information, and governance documentation within Collibra
- Use Snowflake and SQL to profile data, validate datasets, investigate anomalies, and resolve data quality issues
- Create and maintain SharePoint lists, Wiki and HTML content, Power BI reports, Excel analyses, and governance documentation
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings and governance workshops using Zoom, Mural, and Draw.io
- Apply systems-engineering thinking to identify scalable, sustainable data solutions that support corporate integration and major projects
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, standards, stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and compliance
- Hands-on experience with Collibra and Snowflake in an enterprise data environment
- Ability to create and edit SQL queries for data validation, profiling, reconciliation, and anomaly analysis
- Proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint lists, Wiki content, and basic HTML
- Hands-on proficiency with Zoom, Mural, and Draw.io, including the ability to independently lead, facilitate, and host sessions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data governance concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Ability to work onsite in Spring, Texas, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience implementing or improving an enterprise-scale data governance framework
- Knowledge of data privacy, information security, regulatory compliance, and sensitive-data protection
- Experience documenting business glossaries, Critical Data Elements, data ownership, lineage, and stewardship models
- Advanced Excel experience, including PivotTables, lookup functions, Power Query, data reconciliation, and analytical reporting
- Experience editing Power BI reports and developing dashboards for governance, data quality, or operational metrics
- Background supporting major projects involving corporate-scale data integration or systems-engineering principles
- Experience working across IT, business operations, data engineering, analytics, and governance teams

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $63.00 and $90.00 per hour.
