About the Role
The Data Analyst III designs and develops analytical and reporting solutions to support business decision-making processes. This role serves as a subject matter expert in SQL, data aggregation, Power BI (or similar Business Intelligence tools), and managing data requests for both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain analytical and reporting solutions that support business intelligence requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop appropriate solutions.
- Perform data analysis and develop data models to support data-driven decision-making.
- Implement solutions via reports, data extracts, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, and other data reporting tools.
- Apply diagnostic storytelling techniques to illustrate clear, actionable insights from complex data patterns.
- Write measures and calculated columns using the DAX language.
- Automate report delivery via Power BI and proprietary delivery tools.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing data quality measures.
- Test and validate solutions to ensure adherence to requirements and data accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Collaborate with team members to develop best practices and maintain consistent standards.
- Manage requests for data from internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Understand business goals and data capabilities to deliver solutions that provide increased value.
- Document requests, requirements, and solutions using team-defined tools.
- Assist with training and mentoring other Data Analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, IT, related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in business intelligence development, data warehousing, or related fields.
- Experience with Power BI and other BI tools.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data aggregation and data modeling.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
