About the role
The Data Specialist will play an important part in how Cass County Electric Cooperative collects, validates, and uses advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) data. This role supports meter data projects, software upgrades, system integrations, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and connectivity of AMI data.
- Support meter data projects.
- Upgrade and integrate software systems.
- Improve processes through analysis and automation.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree in computer science, data analytics, information technology, or a related technical field; relevant work experience may substitute for a portion of the education requirement.
- Experience in electric utilities is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data.
- Proficiency with technology, databases, reporting tools, and software applications.
- Ability to use programming languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
