About the Opportunity

The Data Specialist role is responsible for managing the technical data operations that support each case on the litigation platform. This position ensures data integrity from collection through production and quality control, collaborating with client services, product, and engineering teams. The role is critical in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of data outputs, directly impacting the organization's capacity to handle complex litigation effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage data ingestion, processing, and production workflows for active cases.
• Validate all data outputs before delivery to clients.
• Implement systematic quality control standards and resolve data issues proactively.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex data anomalies and metadata errors.
• Advise on data workflow strategies to enhance efficiency and defensibility.
• Liaise with client services teams to manage data handoffs and ensure requirement capture.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve platform data handling.
• Develop and maintain documentation including processing guides and QC checklists.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or related legal data roles.
• Hands-on experience with the full EDRM lifecycle on complex commercial cases.
• Proficiency with major eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, or Nuix.
• Strong understanding of metadata, data structures, and file format specifications.
• Effective communication skills across technical and legal stakeholders.
• Experience with ticketing systems and collaboration with engineering or product teams is advantageous.
• High aptitude for learning new software and interest in AI-powered tools.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Pay range: $120,000 to $140,000 USD annually
