About the role
Supports an NLP project aimed at accurately tokenizing and annotating language data with parts of speech.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated solutions for the annotation of language data with parts of speech information.
- Improve existing models by scoring their performance against human-generated annotations for speech and text.
Requirements
- Clearance Requirement: Top Secret SCI with Full Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Mathematics, Applied Mathematics
- Statistics, Applied Statistics
- Machine Learning
- Data Science
- Operations Research
- Computer Science
- A related field (Computer Information Systems, Engineering)
- A degree in a science discipline with a substantial computational component (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Behavioral, Social, Life Sciences)
- Must have completed 5 or more advanced courses in:
- Advanced Mathematics (Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Machine Learning)
- Computer Science (Algorithms, Programming, Data Structures, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence)
- College-level requirements or upper-level math courses designated as elementary or basic do not count.
- Some combination (2 or more) of the following skill areas:
- Foundations: Mathematical, Computational, Statistical
- Relevant experience in designing/implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (Python), statistical analysis (variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, application of linear models), data management (data cleaning and transformation), data mining, data modeling and assessment, artificial intelligence, and/or software engineering.
