Data Scientist (Remote)

About the role

We are currently hiring a Data Scientist to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved! This role is a work-from-home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate office in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Blend analytics, data mining, machine learning, and software engineering to build solutions that will result in massive improvements to the way we do business.
• Develop and improve key decision systems, predictive models, and business processes to drive maximum business impact.
• Explore new data sources both internal and external to Progressive and use findings to further improve model performance.
• Design, implement, and run experiments to test new algorithms, technologies, and processes.
• Prototype solutions to business problems using cutting-edge technologies.
• Bring 2+ years experience
  Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field (Math, Stats, Econ, Eng, Physics, Comp Sci)
• Experience with R, Python, machine learning tools, and SQL
• Evidence of applying advanced models to real-world problems
• Ability to craft rigorous research/designs

Requirements

• Able to track record of agency AI use and implementation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DevOps and Git

Skills

• Able to adapt and learn as roles and workflows evolve
