About the role
The Data Scientist I supports the U.S. Army by developing, documenting, and maintaining acquisition strategies, strategic plans, and formal program management documentation to guide capability development and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Uses Power BI, creates dashboards, interactive visual reports, and runs queries and functions
- Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and tracks them regularly
- Analyzes data and displays it in reports to aid decision-making
- Captures business needs into technical specifications and establishes a timetable for job completion
- Creates, tests, and deploys Power BI scripts, as well as executes efficient deep analysis
- Create charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships
- Construct a data warehouse
- Use SQL queries to get the best results
- Make technological adjustments to current BI systems to improve their performance
- For a better understanding of the data, use filters and visualizations
Requirements
- Background with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP
- Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack
- Mastery in data analytics
- Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics
- Capable of enabling row-level data security
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree - with an emphasis in data analytics or statistics
- A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required. Seven years of relevant experience is required if the candidate does not possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to run queries on Power BI desktop with knowledge of Power BI application security layer models
- Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set; excellent communication skills
- Secret Clearance

Pay
Salary Range $145,000 - $162,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
