About the role

The Data Scientist may be responsible for any of the following tasks: analyzing data collected in current and future products and services, developing statistical and machine learning models using state-of-the-art Machine Learning and AI technologies, visualizing insights for business actions, and collaborating with Software Developers to implement solutions into products and services. The role involves applying data analysis, models, and software to relevant markets to better serve customers. Strong communication and organization skills are required, along with an understanding of day-to-day operations and priorities within the department and company.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data collected in products and services
• Develop statistical and machine learning models using AI and Machine Learning technologies
• Visualize insights for business actions
• Collaborate with Software Developers to implement models into products and services
• Apply data-driven solutions to improve customer service in relevant markets
• Assume other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Completed post-secondary degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline (preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, including various libraries/packages
• Technical understanding of data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• General understanding of Machine Learning and AI tools and frameworks
• Knowledge of statistics and experience analyzing large datasets using statistical packages
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with SQL, stored procedures, or APIs (preferred)
• Knowledge of Data Ops and Data Management tools, such as Docker, Jenkins, and Spark
• Ability to generate reports and present findings clearly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and within a team environment

• Ability to travel by air and ground; valid driver’s license required
• Able to work with minimal supervision

Schedule

• In-office position
• 4.5-day regular workweek
• Daily commute to the local office required
