About the role

Origin is redefining home security with TruShield℠ Security, a hardware-free, router-based solution powered by our exclusive AI Sensing℠ technology. TruShield goes beyond motion detection to deliver Verified Human Presence℠, accurately distinguishing between people and non-human activity. By leveraging existing WiFi networks and connected devices, it delivers awareness across the home without cameras, wearables, or additional hardware, eliminating false alarms and elevating protection.

What You’ll Do

  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large scale datasets generated by WiFi Sensing systems.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to extract actionable insights and improve the performance of our sensing technology.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams of engineers, researchers, and product managers to identify research areas and develop novel solutions to enhance the capabilities and accuracy of WiFi Sensing.
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance and robustness of new algorithms and methodologies.
  • Validate findings through rigorous testing and analysis, ensuring high levels of accuracy, reliability, and scalability in real world applications.
  • Communicate research findings, insights, and technical concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders through clear visualizations, presentations, and reports.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate data driven solutions into products and applications.
  • Stay curious and proactive in exploring new techniques, tools, and methodologies to improve data analysis workflows and enhance the capabilities of WiFi Sensing technology.
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization.

About You

  • MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a related field (or a Master’s with significant research experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in advanced research, focusing on RF signal processing, wireless sensing, machine learning, or related domains.
  • Expertise in algorithm design and evaluation for wireless sensing, human activity detection, localization, or environment modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with Python, MATLAB, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and statistical modeling tools.
  • Deep understanding of IEEE 802.11, OFDM, MIMO, and modern WiFi technologies.
  • Proven ability to design and conduct large-scale experiments, analyze complex datasets, and derive actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated success in publishing peer-reviewed papers, filing patents, or presenting at top-tier conferences.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to transition research into production-level products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A team-first mindset with a passion for mentorship, leadership, and fostering innovation.
