In the ad-hoc analytics team, we create new ML solutions for the business, refine existing ones, conduct research, write engaging articles, speak at conferences, and run A/B tests both offline and online. You will work in the stream evaluating the financial effectiveness of investment initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate non-standard experiments using A/B testing (our platform handles standard ones);
• Develop end-to-end methodologies and tools for assessing effects when classical A/B tests are inapplicable;
• Conduct full-scale research to apply the best industry tools;
• Write engaging articles based on completed tasks and beyond.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in the Data Science field;
• Background in Causal Inference / Econometrics (academic or professional);
• Proficiency in basic financial tools (EBITDA, IRR, NPV, feasibility studies) and understanding of financial modeling for investment projects;
• Familiarity with modern approaches to analyzing cross-sectional and panel data (Doubly Robust Estimators (AIPW), DiD, TWFE, IV);
• Ability to write clean, structured Python code, with knowledge of classical algorithms and data structures;
• SQL expertise—ability to build optimal queries, familiarity with the Hadoop stack is a plus;
• A/B testing, hypothesis generation, and validation (experience with variance reduction, CUPED, linearization, and bucket methods is a plus).
